Teen Patti Rules — Hands, Betting and Common Variations

How Teen Patti is played: the deal, blind and seen players, hand rankings from trail to high card, and the popular variations.

The deal

Each player receives three cards face down. A boot (an ante) goes into the pot before the deal.

Blind and seen

A blind player bets without looking at the cards and pays half of what a seen player pays. A seen player may ask for a side show with the previous player.

Hand rankings

1. Trail (three of a kind)
2. Pure sequence (straight flush)
3. Sequence (straight)
4. Colour (flush)
5. Pair
6. High card

Variations

Muflis reverses the rankings, AK47 makes aces, kings, fours and sevens wild, and Joker variants draw a wild card after the deal.
