Andar Bahar Rules — The Joker, the Piles and the Odds
How Andar Bahar works: the joker card, dealing to Andar and Bahar, side bets and why the first pile matters.
The joker
The dealer turns one card face up — the joker. Players bet on whether a card of the same rank lands on Andar (inside) or Bahar (outside).
The deal
Cards are dealt alternately to the two piles until one matches the joker. The pile that receives the match wins.
The odds
The side the dealing starts on has a slightly better chance, which is why many tables pay a little less on it.
